Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are paraprofessional undergraduate students who support and facilitate the mission of the Multicultural Center. These student leaders represent the Center across the UA campus, empowering their peers and the community to engage with topics of cultural awareness, diversity, and inclusion in a collective effort to create a welcoming, socially just, and inclusive campus community.

Benefits of being an ambassador are, but not limited to:

• Gain an understanding of planning and developing effective programs regarding current trends of diversity and multiculturalism.
• Gain experience in working with students from marginalized groups to promoting student learning and student success.
• Develop program management, program planning and program assessment competencies for working with students from affinity groups by coordinating & diversity and inclusion programs.
• Develop presentation and facilitation skills.
• Grain knowledge in the areas of diversity, inclusion, social justice and other multicultural issues needed for multicultural competency development.
• Have fun and make friends that truly last a lifetime.
